| Sigh. I so loved this!
This is the 3rd book in the series of The Brightside series, but the first book in the series that I've read. Which did make me feel a little lost at first (Who are all these people?!), but that lasted all of about 3 pages. After that, I was a total goner. The cuteness and sweetness and humor of Mark and Boots was just so... *sigh* :) Don't get me wrong though, I wanted to smack both of them upside the head for most of this, haha! What. A. Ride! Seriously. The adventures - South Africa, Boots in med school in NYC, on the road in an old tour bus - were such a BLAST! A lot of this story is about Boots, and her struggles to figure out what she wants (perfect for a New Adult novel, of course), and I really enjoyed being inside of her and getting to know her. Her fierceness and wit mixed with her vulnerability and sweetness made for a truly fantastic heroine that I could really get behind. I also adored all of the secondary characters to bits. I can't wait to read Liv & Berkeley's story. Can it top Boots and Mark? There are some fun "Fate" things in this, which just made it that much more fantastic for me. I loved this quote and how the message was so well woven throughout: “Opportunity finds you when it’s ready, not when you are.” I laughed, I smirked, I squee'd, I smiled, I sighed... and I swore (Darn, is there an S word for laughter?). I Believe in Magic (and leopards). :) | |||

| Katie is a fashion designer turned novelist. She graduated with a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA and a Professional Designation in Fashion Design from FIDM. It never occurred to her that she was a writer until an economic crisis induced career shift from lingerie designer to ecommerce webmistress led her to start the company blog. Not being an expert in lingerie, she decided to write the blog as a fictional serial starring a girl named Olivia Bloom who worked for the lingerie line.
