Description from Publisher:
Best Friend Rule #1: never want the guy’s sister.

Oops.

Trent Salway is one of San Francisco’s hot up-and-coming-under-thirty bachelors. A highly successful mutual fund portfolio manager, a workaholic, and a ladies’ man, he’s got everything he could possibly want…except one thing.

Physical therapist Kelsey Quaid dumped her ex-fiancé six months ago because she was tired of not even being a distant second to his career. Which is why despite secretly crushing on her big brother’s best friend for as long as she can remember, there’s no way Kelsey can go there. One workaholic in her life is more than enough, thank you very much.

Before Kelsey’s brother leaves on his Navy SEAL mission, he asks Trent one simple request: make sure Kelsey isn’t dating any assholes while he’s away. As Trent does his best to do just this, he and Kelsey spend more and more time together. Sparks fly, as do a few items of clothing, and the next thing they know things are getting physical between them. Now, Trent has to decide what to do about the woman he’s falling for—the one whose brother would take him down faster than he takes down the enemy. And Kelsey will have to decide if Trent is just another workaholic or if he’s decidedly off limits.

My Rating:
Heat Rating:

This had everything I love in a romance: Killer chemistry with great sexual tension, great humor (laugh out loud moments!), a connection that is more than just sexual, and hot sexytimes.

This was a fast read that had some great scenes and fantastic characters. Kelsey is newly single and inexperienced, but that isn't overdone. She wants a guy who won't put his job before her and to grow more as a person. Trent is once bitten twice shy and cant keep Kelsey off of his mind, especially now that she is single again and not avoiding him.

These two open themselves up to finding out what they want, which includes expanding their interests. I really enjoyed the non-romantic passions they discovered and feel like it fleshed them out even more, really endearing the reader to the characters and bringing them to life.

This is a story of "forbidden love" (not the Shakespeare variety :P) and the sneaking around is entertaining and made for some fun and humorous situations. I liked how Holly, the friend-zoned coworker of Trent's, was included and thought she was a fantastic supporting character with little drama.

The one thing I will say isn't exactly a favorite trope is the way the crisis is fixed. The involvement of others, especially Kelsey's ex, improved the cliche, and it was still sweet, but predictable.

A couple of days later, I find myself missing these two, which is always a sign of a great story! It was a sexy Romantic Comedy that was really pleasant to get immersed in. :)
