Description from Publisher:
It will take a Christmas miracle for two very different souls to find each other in this perfectly festive fairy tale of New York!

Hopeless romantic Eva Jordan loves everything about Christmas. She might be spending the holidays alone this year, but when she's given an opportunity to house-sit a spectacular penthouse on Fifth Avenue, she leaps at the chance. What better place to celebrate than in snow-kissed Manhattan? What she didn't expect was to find the penthouse still occupied by its gorgeous—and mysterious—owner.

Bestselling crime writer Lucas Blade is having the nightmare before Christmas. With a deadline and the anniversary of his wife's death looming, he's isolated himself in his penthouse with only his grief for company. He wants no interruptions, no decorations and he certainly doesn't appreciate being distracted by his beautiful, bubbly new housekeeper. But when the blizzard of the century leaves Eva snowbound in his apartment, Lucas starts to open up to the magic she brings…This Christmas, is Lucas finally ready to trust that happily-ever-afters do exist?

My Musings:
This was fantastic and just so freaking cute. A bit predictable but in that way that makes you giddy with anticipation and smile when the sweetness happens. The movie While You Were Sleeping, one of my Top 5 favorites, is Eva's favorite as well and this book definitely had that vibe. These characters are rich and warm, even Lucas when he doesn't want to be, and there is definitely the hint of holiday magic in the air.

I adored Eva & Lucas's love story and the way that it developed fairly slowly, in such a way that you believe in them despite the shortness of their relationship. Their banter is both funny and sweet, and the way they obviously feel comfortable together makes the fact that they have met their match jumps off the page. Their jobs and passions, as well as their backstories, are woven in nicely and really rounds them out, making them not just an adorable couple but two solid characters. The overall lack of melodrama and Eva's blunt honesty and lack of cowardice was refreshing and made me really appreciate her depth.

And this surprised me with the steam! The covered made me think closed door romance bordering on chick lit, but there was definitely enough heat here to melt a snowman or two!
