From the cover, I just knew this would be adorable. It did not disappoint!
I pulled this out for bedtime last night and both me and my son (3.5) were enchanted. The baby hedgehog, Herbie, is just so darn cute. His imagination is also wonderful and my son laughed at some of the silliness (like a "snowbear" he cuddles with). As a parent, I appreciated that Herbie was born with his eyes closed and the sweet moment when he opens them to see his mommy. :)
Herbie's mother sends him out into the world when she feels he is ready to learn to forage and, despite his reservations, he goes out, helped by gusts of wind that blow him in different directions.
There was some wonderful art here and I just loved the colors throughout. This one's a keeper!

I received a digital ARC from the publisher for an honest, unbiased review. This in no way influenced my review. My opinion is my 100% own. |
